Why a blog?
Reels are great for the highlights. But every project on this Jeep comes with a story: what I picked, why I picked it, how the install actually went, and what I’d do differently next time. That’s what I’ll share here, along with links to the gear so you can check it out for your own build.
Meet the Jeep
She’s a white 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, and she’s been a work in progress from day one. You’ll usually find her on the sand, on a back road, or in the garage with me figuring out the next upgrade.
And if you’ve ever ridden along, you’ve seen the headliner. It’s covered in stickers from beach towns, surf shops and brands I love. Every one of them has a story, too.
“You ever gonna modify it?”
That’s the question I kept hearing. The answer turned out to be yes. A lot.
One of the latest additions is a Barricade 9,500 lb. winch with wireless control from ExtremeTerrain. When you like to explore places where the pavement ends, a winch is peace of mind for you and anyone you roll up on who’s stuck.
